Javen Simon Roofing, recently completed the full roof replacement on all four buildings within our complex. From start to finish, their team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, outstanding workmanship, and meticulous attention to detail.
Of the three quotes we received, Jake Jacobson from Javen Simon Roofing was the only one who took the time to thoroughly inspect each of our four buildings. He also met with the strata council to review the contract in detail and was readily available to address the many questions and concerns we had throughout the planning process.
The project was completed on schedule and within the agreed-upon budget. Their crew was consistently punctual, respectful, and well-organized, ensuring minimal disruption to our residents. Communication was excellent; Ivan kept us informed at every stage of the project, and any questions we raised were answered promptly and clearly.

May 2022 Javen Simon installed a new asphalt roof on our house, installed several more roof vents and significant improved our attic insulation while they were up there. Happy with the product and workmanship. Hydro bill has been much lower through the winter! Workers were tidy, polite, on time and professional. I am so thoroughly impressed with this company. I had my roof replaced last year and they did a great job. Today I had water dripping from a ceiling fan in the bathroom & feared the roof was leaking. Google really wants to know. I spoke several times over the phone and getting a quote done without ever having to go in the shop (always a bonus). Going to the shop was easy to find and the gentleman I spoke to was awesome and saved me more then a few bucks by taking the time to explain some things to me. Paid my down payment and left.
*No work done at this time, will update when appropriate.
**Update: Roof was put on. Crew showed up early one morning, took off a layer of shingles, put a new one on in a single day. (Friday if I recall). Saturday there was a phone call to make sure everything went smoothly and garbage pickup was okay.
Follow up phone call to make sure I am tickled pink with the roof and job done. If I ever need a roof again, I wouldn't hesitate to use again.

I have hired Javen Simon now for 2 very successful Ucluelet roofing projects, after having interviewed 3 contractors.
He is consistently quick to respond, and thorough with explanations of options.
Additionally, he is extremely knowledgeable, honest and generous with time answering any questions.
Javen even provided free schooling over initial phone call on how to use a phone app to calculate my roof pitch. His estimate of pitch, using google maps prior to his prompt onsite calculation, was exact – as per phone app.
Professionally written, detailed quotes are quickly provided (emailed) with very fair, competitive rates.
His work is punctual; arriving early while putting in efficient long hours.
Furthermore, extra care was provided free for skylight and gutters, beyond job quote.
I am completely confident in having Javen work on my home while I am out of town, and safety has proven to be a priority.
Both jobs were finished within budgeted time and cost, and yard left cleaner than when they arrived.
